Church Planting Internship

Equipping you for the work of the Great Commission

Get Started

Arch CPI is a local church-based certificate program for future church planters & advocates.

College and seminary are important tools to help men prepare for the ministry, but they don't always address the unique challenges faced by church planters. The Arch CPI program is designed to do just that.

Whether you desire to start a new church or assist others in church planting, CPI can help you prepare. We partner with your sending church while you work with experienced church planters, make new ministry contacts and gain valuable field experience.

Why CPI?

Local Church Focus

Our program includes regular communication with your local church pastor to help foster the Paul & Timothy relationship. Like Barnabas, we seek to partner with sending churches—not try to take their place.

Individualized Education Plans

By working with your local church leadership, we can develop a training plan customized to your strengths and areas of growth. This saves time and money, and helps you get out onto the field sooner.

Field Transition Assistance

CPI interns have the chance to network with like-minded churches across the country through the Arch network, speeding up the deputation process and building meaningful relationships for years to come.

Details

In addition to academic content, the CPI curriculum requires demonstrated competency in several skill-based areas related to church planting. The experience provides theological, philosophical and practical training influence emphasizing the personal and ministerial integrity necessary for obedience to the Great Commission mandate (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8).

The primary oversight of the intern remains with the sponsoring pastor and sending church. The CPI program staff comes alongside the intern and his pastor, providing regular progress updates in the areas of personal growth, skill development, and theology & philosophy, as observed by the intern's CPI mentors.

In addition to skills and experience, CPI graduates will gain resources to draw on after completing their residency and entering the real-world challenges of church planting.
